As mobile photography geeks and Instagramers, it’s a given that we love taking photos, but what about actually printing them? I took to Google and found 25ogram, an online service that will print Instagram photos into perfect little 80mm squares for you, for only R3 each.
Ordering prints is a simple 3 step process. You log in with your Instagram account, select your prints and quantities and place your order. Really very simple.
Soon afterwards, you’ll be emailed by 250gram with an invoice. You have two options here, one being normal post for R10, and the other being a tracked parcel for R25. However, if you order more than 100 prints, delivery is free. Being a frequent user of the postal system, I prefer to be able to track my parcel, so I happily paid the R25. 250gram is based in Cape Town, so it took about 5 days for the parcel to reach me in Pretoria.
Your Instagrams are printed on a professional Epson large format printer using 11 colour inks, and professional Epson photo paper is used to ensure high quality prints.
My experience with 250gram was flawless. I placed my order and afterwards I got my email with an invoice and payment details. Naturally, I chose the R25 tracking option and waited for my little 80mm squares to arrive.
When they arrived, I was greeted with this little parcel. I love the personal touch. It’s not just some photos dumped into an envelope. 250gram obviously understands how much we treasure our Instagrams.
The photos came out fantastic! I love the white border that makes them ideal for framing. The quality really is amazing. Because the prints are so small, the photos also manage to retain their sharpness.
Roxy from 250gram was awesome by giving me 15 prints for free, with me only having to pay for the delivery. I’ll definitely use 250gram to print Instagram photos again. The whole experience was great and the price is close to free.
250gram has kindly given Instageeks 5 free prints, and we decided that we’d match the offer and give another 5 prints, making it 10 in total. We’re going to make this an Instagram competition though, so head over to our Instagram account at @instageeksza to stand a chance of winning.
